Sarah Leon was born during a winter tornado in Kansas City, Kansas but left with the Gypsies later that year. She traveled quietly drawing and painting. At 19 she sold out a solo gallery show on opening night. This caused a severe big head syndrome in the 90's which matched the hairstyle trends but her work suffered. As fate would have it, all of her art was destroyed by a drug cartel posing as a moving company. Inspired by the freedom of having nothing, she started over. The new work sold, and great shows came easily because she evolved and continues to do so.
Her studio is part of a great arts community in Waltham, MA.
